SAS Tip of the Month
April 2012
(for SAS and WPS)

Sometimes we want to just access that single dataset off in a directory that is rarely has any useful data. Yes, it is possble to set a LIBNAME reference and then access that dataset as a two level name, but it is also possible to access it directly as the following example shows:

   data _weatherdata;
      set 'c:\WeatherData\Boston\hightemperature.sas7bdat';

See you next month.
